facebook, google and kilts

Few days ago quitted my facebook account. You guys ask me why? Because facebook isn't worth it to spend hours o' day in front of it. In the past few weeks I had to recognize that all those online stuff's a killing me. Now that I don't have the opportunity anymore to know what's going on out there all per one click, I'm noticing, what big role media plays. In the first few hours I often wanted to take out my mobile or tablet, to check what's new on my pinnboard, or post some news, but soon found myself a searching for the app on the homescreen, where I before deleted it.
Same thing with google. It was today morning, when I decided not to use any electronic media devices for one week. My decision at least was to last only about five hours. In the afternoon I remembered, I wanted to check, what a kilt costs (don't ask me why I want to know this, since I have the opportunity to google everywhere I want to know everything, except math and chemostry stuff). I thought about my experiment I wanted to do, but soon made a decision. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOGLE. -> About 15 million matches, all about kilts in all variations, for men and women, but to expensive for my poor income.
The result: No facebook, not one week without media, no kilt, because to expensive and also I think you guys would laugh at me, if I one morning, being late, stepped into English-lesson wearing a kilt.

  1. Ha - that reminds me of our class conversation! Maybe I'll follow you soon ;-)

And I like kilts - just as I like the whole of Scottish culture!

I'm afraid you're right about the omnipresence of media and especially of google! I mean, honestly, where else would you try to find out what a kilt might cost?!?!

It´s cool that you can stay out of facebook respect. I don´t have the courage to quit facebook.

    1. Hey thats a nice idea, but I think I would do the same. Google is a big part of my life it's so easy just a click and you get the information you want to know. Media plays a big role in our daily lifes. And that kilt thing is really funny =)
